Pray for the monks : what else can we from our western homes do to support those moving massive silent protest that have been daily repeated for weeks now.
‘We are marching for the people,’ one monk told the crowd, urging them not to chant political slogans and only to recite prayers of peace.
The eternal serenity of the buddhist princes of inner Kingdom of Heaven is now facing the outter world, the streets, the rain and the likely brutality of the military junta.
The fearless facing the mercyless.
The world is watching.
Pray for the monks !

Our enemy is our own fear
By Pierre on Aug 10, 2006 | In Agenda, People, Peace
Consciousness is the key.
Education and not propaganda.
Real bravery here is not about joining the army but beleiving peace is possible.
Peacemakers, those are the brave ones.
Initiatives are being taken from both sides. No media talk about them but they exist. Check them out and get involved !
And remember : Peacemaking requires a paradigm shift. It is not about hating the warmakers. It is about networking with other peace forces around the globe. It is about forgiving, it is about dialoguing, it is about talking with the enemy, it is about transforming oneself, and thus transforming the world itself from the inside.
See The Parents Circle initiative, have a look at the pictures of the Abrahamic Reunion and of the Imans and Rabbis for peace Forum, read Claudia Henzler peace site blog and browse the MidEastWeb Directory.
Let us do not fear our enemy any longer. For our enemy is our own fear itself.
